"...Use TeamsOnTour, their personal service is unrivalled. Was the best event I have been to in ages, and I have done a lot of Rugby tours...."
Taking the team on tour can be a difficult balancing act, on the one hand you want to focus on sport, keep up the training regime, see the sights and have some great team bonding. While the flipside of this particular sporting coin toss is that the players want to let their hair down and have a few laughs (and perhaps the odd pint or three?).
Well thankfully you can now combine all of the above!
The beer bike is not only a fantastic way to get out and see the city and take in all the sights and sounds but it's a perfect for the team to have a laugh. For any of the lads that just want to sit in a bar then this is perfect, they'll have their own mobile pub with added fresh air and exercise.
The beer bike is a covered multi-rider bike which is not to dissimilar to an old steam engine in size and appearance. The essential difference that the driving engine is replaced by a bar counter, bar stools and 30 litres of lovely beer, well, you don't want to risk dehydration. The bike is completely powered by the riders who sit sideways on and have to supply the pedal power to enable them to sup up. Wine and soft drinks can also be supplied.
The English speaking guide will show you all the best sites the city has to offer, explain a little of the city's heritage and history and also show you the best places to head for a great team night out (with the benefit of local knowledge).
In Amsterdam, you'll head through Chinatown and also take in the Red Light District ("No Dave, we can't just stop for five minutes, what do you need the other 3 minutes for anyway?"), Berlin will take you past more beer hotspots, while Riga really is something quite unique.
You'll coast through the streets of your chosen destination, lords of all you survey and pedalled powered tourists on a mission with plenty of pints and banter. For any team of sporting enthusiasts there really is no finer mode of transport.
The beer bike is cultural, historical, educational, physically taxing and there is loads of beer. It ticks all the boxes and is utterly hilarious. A sure fire winner with any team.
