Germany has always had a massive and often cutting edge infrastructure for sports at junior roots through to national squads, making cities like Cologne the perfect destination to get your team in shape while enjoying awesome team building action.
Cologne has a wide array of team tour activities to put your squad through their paces. Whether you're pelting each other with paint during a fast paced day of paintballing or seeking some high-speed wheel to wheel thrills out on the go kart track, Cologne has some great sporting challenges.
With your pick of rugby, football and hockey to choose from, Cologne ensures that you won't have to spend your whole tour away from the pitch. There are plenty of facilities around the city and we can set you up against local opposition if it's a competitive match that you're after.
It might not be a seaside locale, but as it's situated on the mighty River Rhine we can set your squad up with an unforgettable booze cruise, allowing everybody to soak in the city's many sights while enjoying local beers. If you're after an activity that will band the team together then try out a day of high ropes.
Stadium: RheinEnergie Stadion
Cologne's biggest and most successful sports team, FC Köln have consistently featured alongside the likes of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga, Germany's premier football league. Nicknamed “The Billy Goats” after the club mascot, a male goat named Hennes, FC Köln have been honoured as German Champions three times over the course of their short history, coming a close second seven more times. Their home ground, the RheinEnergie Stadion is amongst the finest football stadiums in the world and has played host to a number of World Cup, UEFA Cup and Confederations Cup matches in recent years.
Despite being born in Poland, Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski has always been vocal about his love for Cologne and in particular FC Köln. Having grown up near Cologne, Podolski has spent a collective 14 years playing for FC Köln at some level. Podolski has said of FC Köln, “it is the club that owns my whole heart”. The forward is famous for his thunderous shots with the left boot and has some of the best statistics for finishing of any current footballer. He also has the third highest number of caps in the history of the German national team, and with 48 goals for his country he is also the third highest goal scorer of the German national team.
Cologne is home to some of Germany's hottest pubs and clubs with amazing nightlife for the team to soak up. Despite being 2,000 years old, Cologne still has a youthful heart.
