These days Edinburgh is perhaps better known for it's comedy festival rather than sporting prowess but the city boasts excellent sporting facilities along with perhaps the UK’s finest pub crawl route. The two things should never be confused.

Andrew Gavin Hastings, OBE
A former Scotland rugby union player, "Big Gav" is considered by many to be one of the best players ever to have come out of Scotland. He won 61 caps for Scotland's national team, 20 of those as captain, and 6 caps with the British Lions.
Scottish International Fletcher has been a main stay of Manchester United's midfield for a number of years achieving honours including Club World Cup, Champions League, FA Community Shield (x4), Football League Cup (x3), FA Cup and Premier League (x5).
Sir Chris Hoy
Eleven-time World Champion and six-time Olympic Champion. With seven Olympic medals, six gold and one silver, Hoy is the most decorated Olympic cyclist of all time and Britain's greatest Olympian.
Gordon David Strachan
Strachan is a football manager and former player (right-sided midfielder). During his club football career he scored 138 goals in 635 league games and helped Manchester United lift the FA Cup in 1985. He also earned 50 international caps, scoring five times and reaching two FIFA World Cup finals. He has since managed four league clubs and is the current manager of the Scotland national team.
